“You go into a literacy program, you come out literate. You come out reading. You never go back...”, said Enrique Ramirez. His story is one so many can relate to as they are overcome by daily barriers of having low literacy skills.
The new Literacyworks Center will launch in 2015 at the SRJC, Petaluma Campus . We will be able to offer scholarships to deserving adults who want to increase their literacy skills so they can secure better jobs. By raising $25k we will unlock these scholarship funds helping our learners overcome the barriers such as: childcare, tuition, transportation, that prevent them from succeeding.
